Part of being an efficient factory is optimizing our pipeline with large and small projects, to efficiently manage factory production. Working with Kit Carson Rural Development (KCRD) this is Fading West’s first project on the Eastern Plains.  Pricewise, Kit Carson falls in the lower range of AMI in the State. So we started with what the community’s workforce could afford and worked backward to design homes that would meet the community’s needs. 

To reach the affordability targets, KCRD leveraged state and federal grant programs with Colorado DOLA and HUD, respectively, as well as additional funding from various foundations and regional governments to grow a project that started as just three homes to a total of five.
